The Negenborn Water Park has held the "Children's Holiday Destination Lower Saxony" certification since 2016.

The State of Lower Saxony, together with TourismMarketing Niedersachsen GmbH (TMN), developed the "Children's Holiday Destination Lower Saxony" quality seal in 2011 to strengthen and further develop Lower Saxony as a travel destination for families.

As a provider of child- and family-friendly businesses, the "Children's Holiday Destination Lower Saxony" certification offers you the opportunity to have the quality of your offerings reviewed and evaluated based on uniform criteria across Lower Saxony. The assessment focuses primarily on the child-friendliness of the facilities, specific services, and various safety aspects.

The on-site inspection is carried out by trained, independent auditors from the respective regional tourism organization, who support TMN in conducting the certification process. The "Children's Holiday Destination Lower Saxony" certification does not include quality levels, but simply distinguishes between "certified child-friendly" and "not certified."
